The Thurmanator is IN.

Ah the memories running around in the backyard with a mini-football in hand as a 6 year old pretending to be Thurman…I feel old.
Andre Reed was a snub but Thurman got his well deserved spot in the Hall Of Fame. Just another Buffalo Bill from the 90’s semi-dynasty to get in. His chararcter was an issue to a lot of fans but I wasn’t old enough to recognize any of that. Although like many, I felt betrayed when he signed with the Dolphins of all teams, all has been long forgiven and I look forward to the induction ceremony.

Your McGahee jersey is worth a $20 bar tab/rag

I opened up this weeks Artvoice to see an ad for Coles on Elmwood that says if you bring in your McGahee jersey, they’ll turn it into bar rag and you’ll get $20 worth of drinks.
Nice.
Can’t wait ’till next year

The Bills did it again yesterday with an impressive win over Miami. We swept the season seried, eliminated them from the playoffs, and shut them out. Our first since that memorable 31-0 season opener v. New England back in the day.
I’m so impressed with the maturity of Losman. I’m tellin ya he’s gonna be good. Not great, but really really good. He’s got weapons around him on offense, one of the best special teams in the league, and a defense that has becom something else since the 2nd half of the Chargers game.
It’s great that we’re still in the playoff race and can easily avoid a losing season (I predicted 5-11 preseason). Next year our expendible income will be torn between the exciting Sabres, and the exciting Bills.
Maybe the blackout days will be over soon?
Getting better down the stretch

One of the better feelings in the world is when the Bills play a game in which you know its all locked up early in the 3rd quarter.
Today was one of those games
McGahee did his usual number on the Jets with his 1st ever big touchdown run in the NFL…the ones we used to see when he was at the UofMiami.
Defense got really strong as the game went on and thats a great sign for a unit that has had some tough times all year.
Techinically speaking we’re still in the playoff race. We do own a bunch of tie-breakers but we need to win out and get a lot of 7-5 teams to lose a bunch. Don’t get to hopeful
6-7. Hosting Miami next week. Let’s sell it out before the blackout deadline!
Welcome back!

Wow, first day back in Buffalo and I’m rewarded with maybe the most exciting Bills game of the year followed by a clutch overtime win by the Sabres in MSG.
It was only four days but boy I missed it!
Now that’s fun!

WOOOOOOO! That was great! I had a feeling the coaches would let the offense open up a little this week after realizing the uber-conservative offense cost us a chance to beat the Colts.
Evans set the team record for yards in a game previously held by Jerry Butler (255). It looked like it was gonna be just another frustrating loss but Clemens made a huge stop on 3rd and Losman took the team 60 yards in the last minute to get the job done-capped with a beautiful catch by Peerless Price in the endzone to end it. Made up for the three straight 2yrd passes to the A-Train as the clock ticked away (wtf!?!)
That final drive could be the defining point in Losman’s career! Did you see all the love he was getting afterward? I’ve never seen the Bills bench like that since the Flutie days.
4-6. Next game v. Jacksonville in OP
“Wide Right”, but don’t blame him

Just another heartwrenching loss for the Buffalo Bills, coming one point shy of ending the Colts’ undefeated run.
Yeah, Lindell could have given the Bills the 19-17 lead but based on the Colts’ ensuing drive I think we all know what would have happened next.
Our offense is just so embarassing. How the hell do you waste a 88 yard kick return by McGee by getting ZERO yards on the drive? We’re so predictable and Losman doesn’t throw beyond 10yards more than three times in a game.
I was pretty happy with the A-Train though…over 100 yards rushing.
And Losman didn’t turn the ball over…although he had less than 20 attempts.
Well…next week at Houston. Hopefully our offense can come together and put up some numbers like a normal NFL offense.
Winning is Fun!
The Bills finally got back on track with a nice 24-10 victory today. The defense came up with some big plays, which almost always means a win for the good guys. Clutch Evans-Losman hookup in the 4th followed by the A-Train Anthony Thomas getting better as the game went on, locking up the win for Buffalo who goes into Indy next week with a 3-5 record. Moorman was amazing and Losman barely saved himself a quarteback controversy.
An hour later, the Sabres took on the Rangers and for a while it looked like they wouldn’t come out of NYC with a point. Lots of penalties cost the Sabres but the better team prevailed in the 3rd by scoring a couple nice goals to tie it up.
We finally avoided a shootout and won it on a nice goal by Briere. Biron played well but most importantly…he has a super-spiffy new helmet. Next game is Friday downtown against Florida
And yesterday UB kicked some major Kent State ass yesterday with a 41-14 win. NFHS graduate James Starks ran for 162 yards. Of course that’s the one UB game I miss this season.
Six Sabres’ games until the next Bills one= GOOD.

Yeeeeah that was pretty bad. I remember last year watching pretty much the exact same game in December between these two teams and wishing I left after the 1st quarter.
Just so many stupid little things that added up. I liked the intensity of Losman in the game but man that fumble at the end of the game could be the play that epitomizes the 2006 season.
It was good we sacked Brady a few times but other than that…jeeez.
BYE WEEK. THANK GOD. Then we host Green Bay. I say its time for a win.
Whatevs.

Honestly, whatever. There were some good things in this game, Simpson’s INT, the last scoring drive we had by Losman. 53 yarder by Lindell,Parrish touchdown, and the McGee 75 yard return. If you don’t have power-be thankful you missed it because it wasn’t worth your time. The Bills weren’t supposed to be good this year, so if you just keep reminding yourself that during the games-losing won’t feel so bad.
Home against New England next week. If we win it, then half the region will be talking playoffs again.
